From Germany to MLS

Morris Duggan going to MLS

When our player Morris Duggan first arrived at his chosen college in the USA after playing several years in the German youth academy system, he had no idea what kind of emotional rollercoaster he was in for!

Right after his arrival, he received the news from the university that he wasn’t immediately eligible to play.

Despite this setback, he quickly bounced back and signed with another college on short notice, which turned out to be a stroke of luck and the start of a rapid rise!

At the new university, he immediately delivered top performances and, after just one year, transferred to NCAA Division 1 powerhouse Marshall University!

There, he became a regular player, then captain, and finally, through the MLS Draft, joined his new professional team Minnesota United FC.

An incredibly cool success story, showing that things don’t always go as planned, but for every door that closes, a new one with new opportunities opens!
