FC Bayern has been offering U18 players worldwide the unique opportunity to spend an entire season developing under professional conditions at the renowned FC Bayern Campus, the record champions’ youth performance centre.
The FC Bayern Global Academy thus offers a unique platform for talented players outside Germany to make decisive progress towards their dream of playing professional or college football under the supervision of the FC Bayern Coaching Staff spearheaded by .
In addition to daily training, academic tuition and cultural exchange, weekly matches against regional and national teams give them the necessary competitive edge.

Residential Soccer Program
The daily routine allows the players to fully concentrate on their tasks and responsibilities both on and off the pitch.
In addition to daily training and athletics sessions, players spend their afternoons attending German or online lessons. Beyond academics, cultural exchange is important to us, helping the players to further familiarize themselves with FC Bayern’s DNA and identity.
A balanced diet is essential for proper recovery after training sessions. Players are provided with carefully selected meals three times a day to promote rapid regeneration. Additionally, they have access to their own kitchen, allowing them to prepare meals at any time.
The FC Bayern Pathway
Over several years, FC Bayern has developed a pathway that enables young talents worldwide to find their way into professional football with the help of international youth football programs.
Since September 2023, the FC Bayern Global Academy has bridged the gap between U16 and U19 level. With this latest addition to the FC Bayern Pathway, the record champions can offer top talents, who have been scouted worldwide in camps and at the FC Bayern Youth Cup, among others, a clear development plan that enables the advancement of players in every age group.
FC Bayern Pro Soccer Training
Every training session is led by professional UEFA licensed soccer coaches.
The coaching staff is spearheaded by Klaus Augenthaler. He won seven Bundesliga titles in his 15-year club career with Bayern Munich. He also represented the German national team, winning the FIFA World Cup in 1990. In 2005, Augenthaler was named as a member of the greatest Bayern Munich XI in the club’s history.
Players will have the opportunity to compete against top-level youth teams from both the country and abroad, and they are being evaluated by FIFA licensed scouts as well as college recruiters.
FC Bayern Campus
On 1 August 2017, the FC Bayern Campus became the new home of the record champions’ young talent. A total of eight football pitches are located on the 30-hectare site. All the youth teams from the Under-9s to Under-19s, as well as the FC Bayern women’s and girls’ teams train and play here.
“We now have an academy with tutors, doctors, sports psychologists and good coaches that we can be proud of,” Jochen Sauer, FC Bayern Campus Director said with some pleasure. “We’re going full steam ahead here to give our youth players the optimal training and bring them closer to our first team,” added Campus Sporting Director Hermann Gerland.
On the FC Bayern campus, the young talents always have their sights set on their big goal, as just two miles east of the campus, the outline of the Allianz Arena is clearly visible.

The FC Bayern Global Academy is designed for highly ambitious soccer players who want to become a professional player in Germany, Europe, or back in their home countries. The program is also a platform for players seeking a college soccer scholarship in the USA.
The goal is to improve each player, both sportively and personally, to prepare them to reach their optimum level of performance in a safe and secure environment while making friends and having fun with players from all around the world.
When does it start and what are the costs?
The 8-month program, running from September 1st to 20 December 20th and February 1st to May 31st, brings together everything young talents need to combine high-performance sport and school.
FC Bayern offers a complete package that covers everything from accommodation, catering and German lessons to medical care.
